At the half-way stage of the IAAF Run 24:1, 12 cities have now hosted one-mile runs, with more than 10,000 participants completing the challenge in the eastern hemisphere.

Ethiopia's Worknesh Edesa beat the hot weather and a loaded field to break the women's course record at the Bank of Lanzhou Cup Lanzhou International Marathon, an IAAF Gold label road race, on Sunday (2).
