The new major schedule in golf -- one each month, starting with the Masters in April -- will also include the Olympics and the Ryder Cup in 2020. Said Francesco Molinari: "It's not going to be an easy year for anyone."

Lee Westwood, the runner-up in the 2010 Masters who hasn't played at Augusta since 2017, has secured an invitation for the 2020 Masters after his fourth-place finish at The Open.

Just like that, the major season in golf is over. It wasn't without its highlights ... and lowlights ... and moments you just had to see to believe.

The championship has plenty of challengers and is the start of an important tournament swing for the L.P.G.A. as it heads to Europe for back-to-back majors.

The French golfer won her first L.P.G.A. tour event in February after excelling at Duke University. Now, she wants to win a major on her home soil.
