The Ladies European Tour approved a plan to partner with the LPGA Tour with hopes of expanding the women's game in Europe and beyond.

History will be made on the European Tour this week as players will be permitted to wear shorts during the four tournament days of the Alfred Dunhill Championship.

Ladies European Tour players have voted to venture into a partnership with the LPGA that could offer many of them a chance to compete in US events.
