Amazon is producing a mobile accessory development kit for hardware companies, as it has plans to insert its Alexa AI in the next generation of wearables. Amazon handling most of the integration... allows less investment from companies and better quality than the few middling pieces of hardware already available which provide the service. Apple's AirPods are Siri enabled and Google has allowed companies to install Assistant directly into headphones as well. Although the development kit isn't scheduled to release until later this year, Amazon already has Bose, Beyerdynamic, Jabra, and iHome Audio as partners for the endeavor, meaning products should begin to roll out during 2018.
