Bank Earnings: Peoples Bancorp, BancorpSouth

Peoples Bancorp (PEBO) announced that it earned $1.3 million, or 23 cents per diluted share, for the third quarter, up from $1 million, or 19 cents per share, in the same period last year. Assets totaled $1 billion as of September 30, down slightly from $1.1 billion in the same period last year.
