Comcast Announces Earnings

Comcast (CMCSA) announced that net income more than doubled in the third quarter, helped by the sale of wireless spectrum to Verizon Wireless (VZ) and its stake in the A&E TV channel to Disney (DIS) and Hearst. The company also saw fewer cancelations than expected. Net income increased to $2.11 billion, or 78 cents per share, versus $908 million, or 33 cents per share, in the same period last year.
