Retail Earnings: ANN, JOSB

Ann (ANN) announced that earnings increased by 26 percent during the fiscal third quarter due to better sales at Ann Taylor retail outlets. Earnings were $40.7 million, or 84 cents per share, up from $32.3 million, or 61 cents per share, in the same period last year. Revenue increased by nine percent to $612.5 million from $564 million.
