Last spring, AMC greenlighted a pilot for the remake of a British miniseries called Low Winter Sun. The project would follow a cop who commits the perfect murder when he gets away with killing another cop, but is eventually sucked into the cityÂ’s underworld after the event. Such a dark and dangerous premise seems perfect for a one-hour drama on AMC, and apparently the network believes so, too. AMC has picked up Low Winter Sun to series, signing on for 10 episodes of the show.
