It was a light day of trading on Wall Street as a disappointing retail report kept stocks under pressure. There are more signs of optimism for the housing market as the S&P Case Shiller home price index climbed 0.7 percent in October on a seasonally adjusted basis, which exceeded expectations of a 0.5 percent gain.
