Will American Idol Ever Create Another Star?

A strong case could be made that X Factor is a glitzier, better produced show than American Idol. A strong case could be made that The Voice has a more interesting format than American Idol. A strong case could be made that a lot of competition shows are a lot better than Idol in a lot of respects, at least except for two. 1) No reality competition show has a better host than Ryan Seacrest. 2) No reality singing show has ever been able to actually make a star.
