(Kitco News) - Gold prices ended the U.S. day session with good gains and hit a two-week high Tuesday. Heavy short covering and bargain hunting mostly related to technical factors were featured. There was also likely a bit of fresh safe-haven demand that crept into the gold market Tuesday. April Comex gold last traded up $14.00 at $1,592.00 an ounce. Spot gold was last quoted up $11.20 at $1,593.50. May Comex silver last traded up $0.327 at $29.18 an ounce.
