In trading on Thursday, shipping shares were relative leaders, up on the day by about 1.7%. Leading the group were shares of Excel Maritime Carriers (EXM), up about 14.9% and shares of Genco Shipping & Trading Limited (GNK) up about 10.2% on the day.
