In the midst of tax time for most of us the bottom line dictates our fate. But for small business owners there is another line that might be even more important - gross profit. Gross profit is the difference between total revenue and cost of goods sold and for many small business owners this measure is intuitive and nothing new. In fact, some of the most successful entrepreneurs I know track this measure weekly, even daily for high volume businesses.
