The reason I have been delighted to practice "sports law" since 1975 is that there is not a thimbleful of law to it. There are collective bargaining agreements, player contracts, television rights fees contracts, endorsement contracts and NCAA regulations to be understood and mastered--but for the agent community the law tends to be the law concerning heavily compensated individuals. Though I have spoken on 75 college campuses, I resisted teaching an entire semester for years.
