From May through August, the 10-year Treasury rate saw the biggest four-month increase in 17 years: to 2.78% on Aug. 30 from 1.70% on April 30, according to the Department of the Treasury. As a result, leveraged loans and equities outperformed fixed-income asset classes during that time.
