This morning, a federal judge in Boston declined to grant Hearst Television a preliminary injunction against Aereo, the three year-old startup that streams broadcast television stations to electronic devices for $8 a month. The legal victory is the latest in a string of rulings in favor of Aereo. Broadcasters argue that the company operates an illegal business by streaming their copyrighted content without compensation.
