U.S. government requests for Google user info have tripled since 2009

The FBI and other law enforcement agencies have gotten more and more hungry for Google users’ data over the past four years. Google said on Thursday that requests for users data from the United States government have more than tripled since 2009, going from just under 3,600 in the second half of 2009 to more than 10,900 in the first half of 2013.
