iOS 7.0.4 restores some speed to iPad 2

I've been an unhappy camper since up(?)grading to iOS 7 a few weeks back. My iPad 2, which had been a smooth, quick, and slick performer in iOS 6, was transformed into a ragged and unrefined, underperforming slug with the change of OS versions. Unhappily, Apple has provided no provision for reverting to iOS 6; installing the iOS 7 upgrade lights the bridge behind it on fire. Happily, I can report that the iOS 7.0.4 update has helped with this substantially.
