Kennedy Center raises $40 million more for expansion project

The Kennedy Center announced Thursday that it has raised an additional $40 million in gifts for its campus expansion project, set to break ground late next year. Though still in the design phase, the $100 million privately-funded expansion will provide an additional 60,000 square feet of indoor space, an outdoor video wall for simulcast performances, and landscaped gardens and public space.
