Starve The Beast And Punish The Taxpayer

Part of the job of the national taxpayer advocate is to be our "voice at the IRS" and to report to Congress annually, identifying problems and recommending solutions. Each year the report lists "the most serious problems encountered by taxpayers." In the report just recently sent to Congress, first on that list is protecting taxpayer rights, and second is the IRS budget. The two are related.
