S&P 500 Movers: VRSN, BIIB

In early trading on Monday, shares of Biogen Idec (BIIB) topped the list of the day's best performing components of the S&P 500 index, trading up 3.9%.  Year to date, Biogen Idec registers a 23.5% gain.
