Furniture Arrangement in Living Room with Short, Angled Walls? -- Good Questions

Q: Hi! I own a house that we have been renting out for a few years. We are moving back in soon, but have gotten different furniture since the last time we lived there, and have no idea how to arrange our new couch in the room. As you can see in the pictures, a lot of the walls are shorter or angled, making it difficult to put the back of the couch up against a wall.
