The marketing organization at investment-management firm OppenheimerFunds has evolved substantially from its sales-focused past. At the helm of the modernization of the organization has been CMO Martha Willis, who explains that the company needed a more integrated marketing function. Of course, it wasn't an easy transition. New talent was needed, as the company had to expand its marketing skill sets--including content creation.
