Spitzer Science Team Finishes Last-ditch Plan To Save Telescope

The team behind the Spitzer Space Telescope, a mission reluctantly recommended for termination by a NASA-chartered panel of scientists, was set May 30 to send the agency a last-ditch proposal to keep the 11 year-old spacecraft operating.
