Though it hasn't become the revolutionary season that industry watchers once predicted, the summertime TV schedule is still a good place to tinker with formulas: A big network like NBC can try a subtle comedy about living in Europe; ABC can order up a drama based on a nonfiction book about the wives of America's early astronauts; and Halle Berry can get pregnant with an alien baby -- or something like that -- on CBS. No big whoop.
