Don't Blame Geopolitical Events For The Widely-Anticipated Market Correction Equity markets took a bit of a breather last week with the S&P 500 giving back 2.66% of its market value.  It wasn't such a big drop as far as weekly drops are concerned but many felt spooked because it mostly came on Thursday in the form of 317 Dow points.  International markets outperformed US markets in dollar terms with the MSCI EAFA Index dropping 2.13%.  Emerging Markets had a muted decline of 1.54% and are still the standout for 2014 with a year to date increase of 7.63%.  Fixed Incom...
