In trading on Wednesday, the Gold Miners ETF (GDX) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.8% on the day.  Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Aurico Gold (AUQ), up about 4.8% and shares of Coeur Mining (CDE), up about 4.7% on the day.
