Halep, Sharapova advance; Azarenka pulls out in Cincy

Former champion Maria Sharapova and second- seeded Simona Halep were second-round winners, while defending titlist Victoria Azarenka pulled out of the draw Tuesday at the $2.5 million Western & Southern Open.
