Your WordPress blog has a new hacker shield coming: Auttomatic buys BruteProtect

WordPress.com parent company Automattic today announced the acquisition of BruteProtect, a plugin that protects WordPress users from malicious logins. Going forward, Automattic says it will integrate BruteProtect’s technology directly into the Jetpack plugin. For context, Automattic’s Jetpack plugin integrates WordPress.com features into self-hosted WordPress.org installs.
