(Kitco News) - Gold prices ended the U.S. day session modestly higher Wednesday, on a mild short-covering correction after hitting a 10-week low in overnight trading. The market place now awaits key economic data due out on Thursday and Friday. December Comex gold was last up $5.60 at $1,270.50 an ounce. Spot gold was last quoted up $4.20 at $1,270.50. December Comex silver last traded up $0.058 at $19.21 an ounce.
