TV highlights: The 2014 NFL season kicks off on NBC

Sunday night football on NBC opens the season on a Thursday night with the one-hour prepper "NFL Kickoff 2014" (NBC at 7:30 p.m.) that has Bob Costas, Dan Patrick, Josh Elliott and Tony Dungy discussing the upcoming season before the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks host the Green Bay Packers at 8:30.
