A Basement Apartment Turned Swank Space-Age Bachelor Pad -- Professional Project

Project by: Ann Yu and Amber Tillman/AAID Location: New York City One of my good friends moved to New York earlier this year to pursue a new career and life in magical NYC so my design colleague and I wanted to kick off his fresh new start by transforming his dungeon-like 500 sq. ft. basement level apartment into a modern and space-aged bachelor pad. He gave us a budget of $10,000 to furnish the entire place (down to bathroom rugs and pots and pans) in two weeks and in the dead of winter.
