Jay Leno will become the 17th recipient of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor at a ceremony at the Kennedy Center this Sunday, joining the ranks of other famed comedians. Richard Pryor won the first prize in 1998, and entertainers as varied as Carl Reiner, Whoopi Goldberg, Lily Tomlin, Lorne Michaels, Neil Simon and Bill Cosby have been awarded a Twain bust.
