Tata's Jaguar Land Rover Starts Building Its Brazil Plant

The plant will employ 400 employees, include an education and business center, and have an annual production capacity of 24,000 vehicles, approximately 5% of the net vehicles sold by JLR in the last twelve months. The new plant will augment JLR's production capabilities, and is expected to roll-out its first locally-produced vehicle by 2016. Local production will help the automaker feed local demand at competitive prices.
