U.S. stocks rallied for the sixth straight session Wednesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing at a new record high for the 37th time this year, as the official "Santa Claus Rally" kicked off. The Dow hit a fresh intraday high and closed at a new record Wednesday after the blue-chip Index smashed the psychologically important 18,000 milestone Tuesday.
