In afternoon trading on Thursday, Utilities stocks are the worst performing sector, higher by 0.5%. Within the sector, PPL (NYSE: PPL) and Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) are two large stocks that are lagging, showing a loss of 0.6% and 0.4%, respectively. Among utilities ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLU), which is up 0.5% on the day, and up 0.77% year-to-date. PPL, meanwhile, is down 2.37% year-to-date, and Northeast Utilities is up 0.62% year...
