"Hoops U," a 90-minute Showtime special that provides a behind-the-scenes look at the Maryland and Notre Dame men's basketball programs, premieres Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET.The documentary opens with scenes from Selection Sunday, when Maryland and Notre Dame learned that they could meet on March 28 with a trip to the Final Four on the line. The show then flashes back five weeks, when Showtime's cameras began following the Terps and Fighting Irish.
