In afternoon trading on Wednesday, Energy stocks are the best performing sector, higher by 2.1%. Within that group, Newfield Exploration Co. (NYSE: NFX) and Transocean Ltd. (NYSE: RIG) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 5.1% and 4.8%, respectively.
