According to its traffic results for March, the airline reported a capacity increase of 5% for the quarter, in line with its guidance, while its passenger unit revenue (revenue per passenger flown per mile) declined by 1.5% due to foreign currency fluctuations. Despite a drag from the strong US dollar, Delta expects to earn 44 cents per share (excluding special items) during the quarter on weak oil prices and capacity additions.
