In trading on Friday, the First Trust Energy AlphaDEX Fund ETF (FXN) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 1.6% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Whiting Petroleum (WLL), up about 5% and shares of Laredo Petroleum (LPI), up about 3.7% on the day.
