Alcoa Q2 Profit Disappoints Amid Aluminum Pricing Slump

Wednesday's market excitement isn't ending with the three-and-a-half hour trading halt on the New York Stock Exchange. Alcoa reported its second quarter earnings results after Wednesday's (much-anticipated) closing bell, and in doing so unofficially kicked off earnings season. But unfortunately for the earnings parade's proverbial grand marshal, Alcoa's bottom-line results failed to provide much reason to celebrate.
