New York-based kinetic artist Ian Stell has created a coffee table that can expand to a user's needs, thanks to an ingenious hinged lattice system. Having created a 3D model of the table on a computer with precise measurements, Stell machined the Sinan table out of oak slats joined with brass rods, created with a miniscule tolerance of 0.005 inches for buttery smooth action.
