Everyone's amiable goofball takes a big leap

Perhaps the defining moment in Jason Segel's career was in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," his character standing naked in front of his girlfriend, towel draped around his ankles, receiving the news that she wants to break up with him. He has stepped out of the shower and into a nightmare -- a nightmare about facing the most humiliating moment of your life. But that's not the way Segel plays it. He's not the least bit self-conscious or embarrassed. He's simply exposed, literally and figuratively.
