Safe Kitchen Island Seating for Kids? -- Good Questions

Pin it Q: My friends and I here in Philadelphia all have kitchen islands with bar stools of some sort in our homes. We also have children between the ages of two and four who are dying to join the grownups up high, but they inevitably end up falling off a stool while sitting or attempting to climb up it. Has anyone come up with a solution for this problem? Extra-sturdy, climbable chairs? Built-in benches? I would love to hear your thoughts. -Sent by Courtney
