I lost one of my childhood idols today, as Moses Malone died at the age of 60. I grew up in Pennsylvania watching Moses on the great Philadelphia 76ers teams of the early 80s. Moses was a three-time NBA MVP and named to the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2001. On a team that also featured the sublime talents of Julius "Dr. J" Erving, and tremendous role players like Andrew Toney, Maurice Cheeks and Bobby Jones, Moses was the unquestioned leader.
