Michael Stevens, a producer and director of Kennedy Center Honors, dies at 48

Michael Stevens, a Washington-born scion of a prominent filmmaking family who helped write, direct and produce the Kennedy Center Honors, the "Christmas in Washington" variety shows and other performing arts specials that aired on TV, died Oct. 15 at a hospital in Los Angeles. He was 48.
