Russian Jet Downed But Should Investors Be Cautious Over Turkish Assets?

Russian reprisals post Turkey’s downing of a Russian Su-24 military jet will “not lead to further Turkish escalation” and in due course the Turkish-Russian relationship will return to “a degree of geopolitical equilibrium”, Renaissance Capital (RenCap), an emerging and frontier markets specialist broker, has assumed and contended. Caution is nevertheless now the byword for investors in this emerging market.
