In trading on Wednesday, the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (XOP) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 5.8% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Halcon Resources (HK), up about 19.5% and shares of Sanchez Energy (SN), up about 17% on the day.
