Monday Sector Leaders: Energy, Materials

In afternoon trading on Monday, Energy stocks are the best performing sector, up 4.5%. Within that group, Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) and Newfield Exploration Co. (NYSE: NFX) are two large stocks leading the way, showing a gain of 19.5% and 11.7%, respectively.
