It seemed like a good day to be an Uber driver. When Washington's Metrorail system began its 24-hour shutdown at midnight Tuesday, leaving hundreds of thousands of commuters in dire straits, you could almost hear the collective "Ka-ching!" going off in the minds of the area's ride-share drivers.
